What is Altitude?
It is the height of the object above sea level. Altitude is measured in feet or meters. Altitude also affects air pressure. As altitude increases, air pressure decreases. There are various instruments used to measure altitude. The most commonly used altitude measuring device is the altimeter. Altimeters determine altitude by measuring atmospheric pressure. Other altitude measuring devices include radar and lasers.
